How to use your pen
Frequently Asked Questions
How should I store my pen?
Keep the pen refrigerated before and after use.
How long can I use a pen after the first injection?
Use your pen within 30 days of your first injection.
Do I need a new needle every time?
Yes — use a fresh needle and prep pad for every injection, and never reuse needles.
Where should I inject?
Subcutaneous areas like the stomach, hips, or buttocks work best. Pinch the skin, insert at about a 45° angle, and rotate to a new spot each time to avoid irritation.
Will it hurt?
It can occasionally sting, and minor bruising or small bumps are normal. Letting the solution reach room temperature, rotating sites, and adjusting the angle all help.
A little liquid drips out after I inject — is that normal?
Yes, slight dripping from the needle after an injection is common and nothing to worry about.
How do I dispose of used needles?
Recap and dispose of each micro-needle immediately after use in a sharps container (or a thick plastic container), with no needles poking out.
Can I travel with my pen?
Yes — keep the cartridge cold in transit using a travel case with cold packs.
